happy birthday with flair!

Welcome to Get Sketchy #10!!!!
Can you believe that we're already up to 10?!!!

Check out that FUN sketch!!!

Guess who our sponsor is this week??

The very fabbie Sakura!!
The prize for GS#10?

There are a couple pen sets up for grabs!!!

Each of the gals on the Get Sketchy DT was given a couple Sakura pens to play with. I decided to use mine to ink up some nakie chippie letters! They are nestled on a Jenni Bowlin Die Cut...I added an American Crafts flair with MM glittery chocolate number/alpha. The patterned paper is Bella Blvd that I stitched with chocolate thread.

The Bonus Challenge:

Handwritten Sentiment/Doodling

Okay, I'll be honest, I don't do any handwritten greetings on the exterior of my cards...that's what all the fun embellies are for..LOL. I'm not a huge fan of my handwriting:)

I can't wait to see how the sketch inspires YOU!

So fabulous - I wouldn't write on my cards either, the times I've tried have ruined it - stamps and chipboard from now on!

I love your card Amy, great bright colors and don't be a shamed that you don't want to write on your card a lot of people don't want to do that. You used the pens good!

Very cute! I love the candle paper!

The sale at Amuse went good. I've taken classes with Julie before, but she's always fun. I also found some awesome $2 stamps. I was only expecting to get my 10% discount for taking the class, but everything was at least 15% off in the store. :)

Have a fabulous weekend, despite the rain and greyness.

Oh how cute! So glad to hear of another crafter who doesn't like their handwriting! I would DARE write on the front of my cards - it'd end up in the bin!
Fab, bright and funky as always Amy!

oh how i love this! it just sorta screams, "FESTIVE" doesn't it?! (screams in a completely understated and ladylike way, obviously!) ;) that paper ROCKS the hand colored chips are PERFECT and the flair is the icing on the cake!

i'm not super-keen on my own handwriting...tho it's growing on me...but i highly recommend slightly wonky outlining as an introduction to doodling: it's easy, it's fun, and it kind of looks cooler the "WORSE" you do it! :)
